A PORN STAR DOES SOMETHING GOOD AND IS CRITICIZED
Now I understand some of you have children, but seriously... do you think they know who Sasha Grey is in the 1st-2nd Grade. And good for her for stepping away from Porn and trying to branch out and do more... not just career wise.

It's not appropriate. You are free to say and do what you want in this country (as long as it isn't illegal), but you better be prepared for the consequences. God bless her if she for being a porn star, she shouldn't be in a school reading to young children.

I agree that she shouldnt be reading to the kids if they know who she is... but I am sure she was introduced as a actress.
And I say this as a young 20 something with no kids. But if I had one, I do not think I would have an issue with a Person who worked in the adult film industry reading my child a book in school as long as the book is approved by the school and as long as they dont talk about their profession... and of course, as long as they are dressed correctly.

And there is another issue I have with this...
As much as I am okay with Sex and Sexual things /topics etc...
there is one thing that weirded me out when I moved to Los Angeles. On Halloween on Hollywood Blvd, children as young as 2/3yrs old are seen walking into exotic wear / sex shops and asking for candy.
Kids in the Los angeles area grow up fast than most children. They see naked women on billboards all the time.
So I am curious.... Does Location also matter here?
Or all together are you against her reading to children?
Cause I am sure she is an Aunt of some kind to someone's kid... ya know...
And does being a porn star mean you are unable to be around children?
I am not judging answers... I am honestly curious.
She can be a normal relative to kids in her family if they are cool with her and I'm sure they are. I'm not saying she is a bad person in any way. There is no way I would want her reading to my kids in their classrooms. When the kids ask what movies she has been in how does she answer? I am glad she wants to be involved in helping kids, she should anonymously run some charity to help with providing books for kids or something of that nature. As a parent I would be pissed with the school if this scenario was to happen here. It may seem like it sucks but the decisions we make and our actions do define who we are and porn stars do not have a place in elementary schools. Would it be any different if Ron Jeremy was there instead of Sasha Grey?
On a lighter note I like Guage and Sasha!

And Sasha Grey has performed in tv shows like entourage and she is branching out into movies...
So.. she's not JUST a porn star...
but I do see your point and respect that.
